Anne Kennedy Brady is a Chicago-based playwright and author. Anne earned a degree in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University and subsequently worked closely with Taproot Theatre Company (TTC) as both actress and playwright. TTC produced and toured her play, Christmas in Flight, for their 2011 and 2012 holiday seasons with excellent audience response, and The Innkeepers' Christmas, in 2013 and 2014, booking a record number of performances. Christmas in Flight was also produced in Kiev, Ukraine, in 2011. She has written two plays for middle and high-school audiences focused on cyberbullying. Friend Me and Relationship Status have toured throughout the Pacific Northwest as part of TTC’s acclaimed bullying-prevention programming. In November 2015, Taproot produced the world premiere of her play This Christmas as part of their mainstage program.

Anne has also co-written six children's books with her mother, established author Pamela Kennedy, published through Guideposts Corporation and WorthyKids publishing. Her articles have been published in Ideals Magazine and on Verily.com, and she served as content editor for The Relationship Alphabet by Zach Brittle, LMHC. In Chicago, Anne has studied playwriting with Chicago Dramatists and The Second City (earning festival performances for two of her sketches), and is currently working on a series of books for early readers.
